MUSTARD AND CREAM SALAD DRESSINGS
Here is a simple salad dressing recipe of my grandmother's, made with mustard, sugar and cream. Another version of the dressing is flavoured with fresh lemon juice and dill.
Both the dressings go particularly well with
simple summer salads, made with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, onion/green onion and radishes.
MUSTARD AND CREAM SALAD DRESSING
about 1 tbsp sweet Swedish/Finnish-type mustard
½ - 1 tbsp sugar
white pepper
cream
With a teaspoon, mix the sugar in the mustard, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
Stir in some cream, little at a time, until you get a suitable consistency. Season with pepper and toss the sauce with the salad.
